Sport Suds - A Residue Free Detergent
Conventional laundry detergents are designed to leave chemicals on clothes after the rinse cycle. These additives include stain repelling agents, anti-static chemicals, optical brighteners, fragrances and others. At Sport Suds, although we know that chemicals have their benefits, we believe there are times when the lack of chemicals is better. That's why we developed Sport Suds Laundry Detergent.
Sport Suds Laundry Detergent is specially formulated to clean today's sportswear and everyday fabrics. It features total rinse-ability which means after it gently cleans a wash load, it rinses completely away leaving nothing behind. Once a load of clothes is washed in your machine, the rinse cycle moves bacteria, oil, dirt and everything else out of your clothes. There's nothing left to coat the fibers of your fabrics or clog the pores of your waterproof breathables. The result is that technical sports clothes have better wicking and breathing abilities. They feel nicer and perform better.
Use Instructions
First-time users
If you've used conventional laundry detergents, your washing machine drum and internal components are likely coated in chemical residue and gunk from these detergents. Good news though, Sport Suds Laundry Detergent will remove these nasty deposits and clean your machine.
IMPORTANT: Before washing your clothes with Sport Suds Laundry Detergent, be sure to clean your machine. Skipping this step will result in clothes steeped in nastiness.
Washing Machine Preparation:
Run two loads containing only old towels using Sport Suds Laundry Detergent at 2x concentration. Sport Suds Laundry Detergent will cleanse the washer tub and components of former detergents and deposits. Subsequent loads will continue to progressively clean the washer and components.
Fabrics washed over the next few loads will feel cleaner and less heavy as chemicals and built-up deposits are removed from the washing machine.
Sport Suds Laundry Detergent is low-sudsing and fragrance-free. If many soap suds are visible during the wash cycle or if your clothes smell fragranced after being washed, your washing machine and clothes require additional cleaning to remove residual deposits of conventional detergent.
Directions for use
For conventional washing machines and top loaders:
Use one scoop of Sport Suds Laundry Detergent per full machine load
For HE washing machines and front loaders:
HE machines use less water per load and therefore you can use less detergent while achieving the same detergent concentration. Begin with scoop of Sport Suds Laundry Detergent and adjust amount depending on results. Many customers are able to use less than 1 scoop while achieving excellent results.
Sport Suds Laundry Detergent is excellent in both hot and cold water. Although, hot water in general cleans more effectively.
Sport Suds Laundry Detergent can be used for practically all fabrics and surfaces. Normally anything okay to wash with water is okay to be washed with Sport Suds
Sport Suds Laundry Detergent can be used frequently without harm to fabrics
Tips for tackling stubborn odours
We all experience it at some time or another; a favourite piece of clothing that we really want clean. Here's our list of tips to help you out.
Soak stubborn articles overnight or longer
Agitate vigorously
Use hottest water possible that is safe for fabric
Hand washing allows for focused cleaning and control; often producing better results
Entrenched odours will become less evident with each successive wash
Note: Odour cannot be removed if the underlying material itself is the cause of the odour (e.g., washing a piece of natural rubber and wanting the rubber smell to go away)
Test Your Washer:
Run an empty load or rinse cycle in your washer. If you see a lot of soap suds or bubbles, your washer is contaminated with remnants of previous washes. For machines with heavy build up, repeat washings may be necessary
Test your Clothes:
Place your clothes in a sink or basin. Add water and watch for soap suds. If a lot appear, your clothes contain residues of conventional detergent. Excessive residue can result in odour and poorly performing technical gear. Wash using Sport Suds
